Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was a blast. It was great to watch the kids get so excited with what Santa brought for them. Opening presents was fun, watching Jonathan figure out that everytime he got a turn that he opened something new that he liked. At one point he opened a present and said "Oh cool a box" he just hadn't opened it all the way.

ryan loves beef jerkey and so he was so happy when Santa brought him his very own.

Christmas Eve 2008

We spent Christmas in Worland with my parents and family and we had a fantastic time. Christmas Eve dinner was delicious and the day was very hard for Miles because he just couldn't wait. We were planning on going sledding but it was -7 outside so we decided not to go. Mark and I and my brothers Michael and Brian took the boys to see The Tale of Desperoux. It was a cute movie and that took up a few hours. I love Christmas time and watching my boys get so excited and inpatient for Santa to come. We had a great Christmas and I think the boys really had fun.

Miles got a great LightSaber from Brandon

Ryan the Hulk. Luckily Santa brought two more sets, so that everyone can at least protect themselves. Especially Jonathan.

Merry Christmas!!

Grandma Noble

My Grandma passed away last night and it has been a sad day. I am so grateful for her and the wonderful memories with her. My life is better for knowing her. I love her and will miss her.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!

I have decided to make some Blogger resolutions since I spend so much time looking at them, I might as well make our family one a little better. #1. At least five posts a month, it will probably end up being five in one night, but at least five. #2. Change background often, man I was so sick of those frogs. I finally figured out how to do it and I don't have to get Mark to do it. #3. Add comments to people's blogs, I look at quite a few and now I need to tell them what a great job they are doing. #4. Try to post about birthdays and holidays at least in the same month. So with that said, here goes the first post for December, let's see if I can get four more in this month.
We went to my parent's house in Wyoming for Thanksgiving, and had an absolutely wonderful time, great company, awesome food and a beautiful newly remodeled house to enjoy. Then we left for home on Saturday morning, right on time, I might add. Twenty minutes outside of Worland, we pass a flashing yellow deer sign, so Mark and I both heightend our senses and started watching for deer, no less than 50 yards from the sign, a giant, yes I said giant, buck was in the other lane, and we didn't even have time to break. So we hit him and he went flying and we then slowed down. The boys didn't even know we had hit anything, Ryan asked why we were stopping. So the good part here is that every one was completely uninjured and we were only 20 minutes from my parents. They graciously let us borrow their van to get home.
.
The bad part here is that We found out a few days before going back at Christmas that they were actually going to total the van and so that meant that we had no way to come home from Christmas (and having to get a new vehicle). So my parents let us take their van again. Leaving my mom without a car for almost five weeks. (Thanks so much Mom!) We went and cleaned out all of our stuff from the van, at Christmas time and it was really quite sad. I wasn't ready to quit having the van. So I feel sad everytime I see a silver oddessy. Mark told me he does to, so I am not as crazy as I think. Now we are on the hunt for a new vehicle and we shall see what comes up. To be continued.....

Happy Halloween 2008!

Dumbo
Clone Trooper

Vampire

I love Halloween. I love how excited my boys get about dressing up. I love going trick or treating. Or helping my boys go trick or treating. I love to see all the different types of candy that the boys get and then I love the 50% off candy the day after!! Ryan ended up being really sick with the flu on Halloween and so I was afraid he wouldn't be able to go out. But he really wanted to go, so we put him in the double stroller and pushed him right up to the door and then he walked up to get his candy. He made it about two blocks and then he didn't have any more energy. Poor guy! So I took his bag up with me to the rest of the places we went. I told the people that I had a sick little boy in our stroller, they probably thought it was all for me. OH well, what we do for our kids. Jonathan was so cute, he loved going to each house and getting candy. After each house he wanted to open up his candy and eat it, so we kept having to put it into his bag and remind him that there was more candy. It was a beautiful night and not cold at all. I don't think I will be ready when we actually have a really cold Utah halloween.

Pumpkin Carving

We had a great family home evening carving pumpkins, well Mark actually did almost all of the carving. I did carve Miles' after he drew what he wanted. But Mark cleaned out all the junk inside and then went on to carve them all. It is really funny to watch my kids reaction to the stinky stuff inside. None of them wanted to even touch it. Jonathan wouldn't even try, he couldn't even get near it because of the stinky smell. The other two at least tried to dig out a few spoonfuls. Overall, we had a great time. I love this tradition and some day everyone will be able to carve their own and Mark can judge the carving!

In a Galaxy far, far away........

In a Galaxy far, far away....
there were four clone troopers
who defended their home from
all evil doings.
Some were small but all
were strong.
There was not a weak one among them.
They defeated all the evil ones
and came home safe and sound!
Now guess which one is which.
Some loved the clone trooper helmet much
more than others but it was fun indeed.

Happy 7th Birthday Miles!!!!!

I can't believe that I have a 7 year old, that makes me feel old and that time is just zipping by me. Sunday was Miles' birthday and we had Shane and Becky over and it was a great day. Miles got everything he wanted and was very happy. He got his DS and an Indiana Jones game and the Star Wars Legos that he loves. Then he got some great jammies and a clone trooper helmet that is really fun to play with. Happy Birthday Miles. We love ya!

Star Wars Party

Those of you who have ever attended one of the birthday parties I have put on, you may have noticed that I have a tendency to go a little overboard. But I love throwing a good party that is for sure. So this year Miles wanted a Star Wars Party, so in June, I started mulling around my ideas for a great party. But Miles really wanted a Nintendo DS for his bday and that was a pretty big bday present and so I told him that he could have one friend to dinner and a movie and the DS or he could have a big party. Fortunately he chose the one friend which turned into three. It was the easiest party ever. Mark took all of the boys to see WALL-E and I stayed home with Blake and Jonathan. My job was to pick up pizza and make chocolate light sabers (see I can still stick with the Star Wars theme!) and make goodie bags. They came back from the movie, had pizza and cupcakes and we sent them on their way. I loved it, so stress free and Miles loved it. I guess those big grand old parties aren't so great, but don't worry I am already planning the Luau for Blakes first Birthday! I always wanted a summer baby so I could throw a fun Luau. Poor MD is going to have to find a place to dig a pit for the pig! Ha, but everyone is invited. So small bdays are fun but I love the big ones just as much

We Did It!!

Well Jonathan has been somewhat poddie training for a while, but with Blake being born and all, I just went a little slower than normal. But we can finally say that "We Did it!!" I consider my kids poddie trained when at home they go without telling me or when we are out and about they can actually tell me they have to go and Jonathan has passed these two milestones. Not to say that he hasn't or won't continue to have accidents but overall he is going all by himself. Congrats Jonathan. Now I am back to only one in diapers and that is a nice feeling overall, especially on the pocket book.

Family Time

I finally got some pictures of everyone and wanted to put them up. I got a picture of Miles finally, since he always is hiding when the camera comes out. Then we took some family pictures, as best as can be expected. I think these are some pretty cute boys, but I am definately very biased on that. Oh well, my blog my opinions, right!!

FINALLY he sleeps.... If you have seen several blogs ago, you will understand that this is a VERY busy little two year old. On Sunday, he didn't have a nap and was laying next to Dad and fell asleep, even before we could get his arms into his jammies. Oh he is soooo angelic when he is sleeping! Ha I don't let it fool me though.

Blake's Blessing Day

We had Blake given a name and blessing in our Sacrament meeting on October 12th. It was a very special day. We had a lot of family come, despite the bad weather, and helped make this a very nice day. There was tons of yummy food and great company, so Blake won't remember what happend on his special day, but I will and it was nice to get so much love and support.

Well I didn't even get one picture of my family all together, so I will have to piece together several to see everyone. Except Miles was hiding out in all of them.
