Finally A New Car!

Now this car has been in our family since December 31st, but this is finally my time to blog about it. (This is for you Laura!) My sister pointed out that I had said I would do all of these blogs and post a lot more and I wasn't, man I hate when I get called out on something. She said that she was checking every day and no change and then checking every few days and still no change and then every week and STILL no change, so she said she wasn't checking anymore, so here's to you girl, I am posting about things that should of been up along time ago. Thanks for the jump start!! Ok back to the car, we bought a GMC Yukon XL and I love it. At first I was a little overwhelmed by how big it is, and I was so sad to give up the electric doors of the Oddessy but this has been great. I love that I can actually sit in a seat when I need to be back by Blake and not sitting between the two seats (legal of course!) and I love the room it has, I can fit all the carpool kids plus my own. It seats 9, so it has been nice. I have gotten over my fears of parking in the garage and backing out of the garage, and parking next to other cars, but I am yet to parallel park the thing, and that may never come. Oh well, it is good to walk from the back of the parking lot or some where else. What is so great about close parking spaces.

Happy Birthday Jonathan

Jonathan turned 3 today! I can't believe it. But he is for sure three. I am going to have to talk to the pediatrican tomorrow about how my three year old only knows one word "No!" and I am a little concerned. Jonathan is a wonderful boy, he absolutely has his moments but he can be so polite and fun. We had a great day today. I told him what did he want for his birthday breakfast and he told me his lightening McQueen cake, what flavor did he want, he didn't want a flavor, he wanted lightening McQueen, so needless to say, I finished the cake and we were able to have a party. He didn't really grasp the whole birthday thing, until Aunt Becky brought him over a gift and then he really cheered up. He was quite excited to be able to get presents and cake for "His birthday" He loved staying in his jammies all day because birthdays are the only day we do that, Ha Ha. But it was a nice excuse for his birthday. We Love You Jonathan!

Cake decorating is a lot of work, but Jonathan loved it, didn't eat the cake, but sure enjoyed the frosting. Don't you love the cake pan, I forgot to move it to the plate before I started to decorate. Oh Well!

Little Blakester!

Have I said how much I love this little baby boy! Man he is so awesome. He just turned six months and I can't believe it. Our whole family has been better since he has joined it. He makes all of us happy, when one of the boys is crying or throwing a tantrum, he laughs at the silly faces they make and it totally difuses the situations. He will smile at anyone who wants to talk to him or hold him (except the pediatritian) and he just makes my life brighter. The boys were taking turns carrying him around tonight and he just let them haul him around. He loves to watch every move they make, and he just waits for them to come talk to him. He loves to laugh and play with them. I sure am thankful and blessed to be this little guy's mom. We love ya, Blake!!

Super Hero x3

After tying so many blanket knots to make super hero capes, I finally decided to dust off the ol sewing machine and make some velcro capes ( that I don't ever have to tie again!) I wish that sewing was like riding a bike and I could always keep up on the skill, but that is not the case and I knew once the boys saw that I was making these capes they would not leave me alone until I was finished. For example, Jonathan and Ryan were home when I started and they both asked me ten minutes after I began, when their cape was going to be done. None the less they are finished and they all love them. I thought Miles might not want one because he is "older" but no he was very adamant about wanting one. They have been very fun and I love to watch them in them. They have been super hero capes, super cleaner capes, super wrestler capes, super big brother capes, etc. etc. And they have only had them since Friday. So cheers to the capes and I guess I better make one for Blake now, before I put the sewing machine away!

Off they go!!
